Loreto Ministries Board chair Justice Peter Garling said it was important to hear professional insights on ethical and responsible governance from outstanding Loreto women leaders, “at a time when our civil and ecclesiastical narrative demands corporate integrity, principled leadership and an enduring vision derived from our core values”.
The colloquium was attended by people involved in mission, education and governance across the Loreto network and included members of the worldwide leadership team, Loreto Australia and South East Asia Province, Board directors of Loreto Ministries, Loreto Vietnam, Loreto Timor-Leste, Mary Ward International Australia, and directors and principals of Loreto schools. Loreto Ministries is grateful for the generous hospitality provided by Loreto College Marryatville and for the seamless facilitation by its Principal, Dr Nicole Archard.
Loreto Ministries CEO Cate Sydes said it was an important and timely gathering, “that enabled delegates to broaden their understanding of the contemporary challenges, priorities, mission and ministry of the Mary Ward ‘circle of friends’, in order to strengthen the Loreto mission.”
Loreto Ministries is the governance body established in 2016 by the Loreto Australia and South East Asia Province to oversee the ethos, mission and stewardship of the seven Loreto schools in Australia, two associated schools and Loreto Vietnam.
