Loreto Education Philosophy

Loreto schools aim to meet the spiritual, intellectual, and social needs of each student; developing more fully the ability of the young person to think and act objectively and responsibly, to value the search for truth, and to appreciate the dignity and value of every human person.

Loreto Schools offer a Catholic education which liberates, empowers and motivates students to use their individual gifts with confidence, creativity and generosity in loving and responsible service.

Students and families who choose a Loreto education experience a Catholic education grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the charism of Mary Ward, which is imbued with the Loreto values of Freedom, Justice, Sincerity, Verity, and Felicity. Serving to inspire and steer the purposes, objectives, and focus areas, the Loreto schools are guided by the Loreto Education Philosophy, an important foundational document linking the Loreto Schools and articulating the beliefs, values and understandings that characterise a Loreto education. It identifies the aims of a Loreto education, provides guidance to Loreto schools and informs the educational vision of each school.
