Loreto Ministries welcomes four new Steward Directors

Loreto Ministries is pleased to welcome four new Steward Directors to its Board, appointed as part of the regular renewal cycle of the Steward Directors. Margaret Kennedy, Chair, Loreto Ministries, said the appointments bring valuable experience across education, governance, mission and formation, strengthening the ongoing work of Loreto Ministries and its commitment to Catholic education in the tradition of Mary Ward.

Margaret noted that each of the new Steward Directors brings deep professional expertise together with a clear commitment to Catholic education, mission and service. The four new Steward Directors commenced their role earlier this year and attended their first Board meeting in February at Loreto College Marryatville. They will be officially commissioned by Sr Wendy Hildebrand CJ, Province Leader, Australia & South East Asia in Melbourne on 23 May 2026.

Maureen Ryan, CEO of Loreto Ministries, welcomed the appointments and acknowledged the contribution the new Steward Directors will make to the future of Loreto Ministries.

“On behalf of the Loreto Ministries team, I warmly welcome you to Loreto Ministries. We look forward to working alongside you as we continue to strengthen and enhance the Loreto educational offering, now and into the future.

Mother Gonzaga Barry once said, ‘leave after you something on which others may build,’ and it is this legacy work that will continue to inspire and guide us in this ministry. I look forward to all that we will undertake together.”

They join the continuing Steward Directors: Margaret Kennedy, Sr Anne Kelly CJ, Chris Dodd, Nicki Patten and Dr Caroline Thompson.
