About the School
At Loreto Normanhurst, we prepare young women to be leaders and changemakers by grounding them in faith, purpose, and a deep commitment to justice. Inspired by over 150 years of Loreto education in Australia and Mary Ward's vision, our students are formed through a holistic education that nurtures intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and courage in action.
They are encouraged to lead with integrity and compassion, ready to contribute meaningfully to a more just and hope-filled world.

From the Board
"We begin each Board meeting with a formation session that is embedded in Story, Spirituality and Scope. These sessions include an in-depth exploration of the current year’s School value with emphasis on the stories and spirituality of Mary Ward, Mother Gonzaga Barry, Teresa Ball and Ignatius of Loyola. This process also invites each participant into a formative experience through Gospel and scripture, whilst engaging with the key Ignatian processes of Reflection, Discernment and Action and an understanding of how these were lived and expressed by Mary Ward and the Sisters of the Institute and how they are experienced today."
Nicole Patterson, Board Chair, Loreto Normanhurst
