Loreto Women Celebrate International Women’s Day
Carolyn Young (Director, Mission & Identity) and Karen Kennelly Fogarty (Manager, Communications and Marketing) represented Loreto Ministries at the International Women’s Day Breakfast hosted by Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak last Friday.
The event brought together members of the Loreto community, including Sr Wendy Hildebrand CJ, Sr Angela Slattery CJ and Sr Natalie Houlihan CJ, along with colleagues from Mary Ward International, to celebrate women whose leadership and service continue to reflect the Mary Ward charism.
A special moment during the breakfast was the posthumous recognition of Sr Ruth Winship IBVM, honoured as one of seven women inducted into the school’s Women in Time series celebrating women who have made a lasting contribution to the Loreto community.
International Women’s Day offers an opportunity to recognise the many women across the Loreto network whose leadership, commitment and service continue to shape communities in the spirit of Mary Ward.
